~The Dark Element~

Ah, the element of darkness. Presumption that the dark element was brought to us by chadul, and the dubhamid, I believe is in error. My theory is, the element of darkness was born, and propagated by strong emotion. Of course, darkness, and shadows have always existed as long as light itself has existed. But the embodiment, the materialization of this element, seen in the dubhamid, in my belief, was given birth by our own hate, fear, and anger. These emotions, which so easily consume us, gave birth to the dubhamid as surely as my faith in Luathas is his sustenance. True enough, the minions of chadul, these dubhamid are of his own design, his own, but did Chadul give them life? Perhaps. But from what did he create them of, and what did he use to give them their life? Ah, that is a matter of philosophy, a theory, which I plan to discuss in another work.

The element of darkness, and shadow is a very potent force in Teumair. It dominates all the natural elements, and is defeated only by the element of light. Manipulation, and attempts at controlling and using this element are extremely dangerous to aislings. As I stated in the introduction, even the strongest willed wizard can be driven to sheer insanity in their attempts to master the least of the dark magicks. Mor Strioc Pian Gar, classified as a dark spell, even though it's element is based upon the element of the necklace worn, draws on a small amount of your physical vitality as well. Though this amount is negligible, it is sufficient to cause the death of a wizard if he is badly poisoned.

The dark spells are: Strioch Bias, Mor Strioch Bias, Mor Strioch Bias Lamh, Mor Strioch Bias Meall, and Mor Strioch Pian Gar.

[Dark Spell List]

~Strioch Bias~

Strioch Bias is the weakest of the dark spells, but it is quite powerful nevertheless. Using this spell, or any other spell, save for Mor Strioch Pian Gar, consumes every last ounce of the casters will, and delivers an extremely powerful dark elemental attack. The draw back, of course, is that it takes all of ones will power to cast, leaving a wizard completely defenseless.

The greatest strength of the Strioch Bias spells is that the more proficient with one, the greater the power of the other Strioch Bias spells. That is the theory, at least.

~Mor Strioch Pian Gar~

Mor Strioch Pian Gar is without a doubt, the most potent spell in existence, that wizards can utilize. Mor Strioch Pian Gar taxes but a small amount(400mp?) of a wizard's will to cast. Drawing further on the will of the wizard, the spells power increases infinitely. The spell draws on a greater portion of the casters will, adding to its power, depending upon the strength of the casters will power. In essence, the power of the spell has no limits, it is as strong as the casters will. The stronger his will, the more devastating the spell. Another great benefit of this spell, is that it doesn't leave a wizard completely drained after a single casting, though it still leaves him very weak.

This is the 'theoretical' math for for MSPG:

Damage = mp x 1.689 - [(67 - ac) x 4.8]

Considerations:

1) Damage is without fas
2) Damage is without aite
3) Damage is based on no elemental defense by victim
4) Damage is based on no elemental offence by caster
5) Damage is based on a single opponent only

Extraordinary facts of MSPG:

1) Damage is not dependent any stats (like int, wis etc)
2) Element of MSPG depends on neck worn
3) Against a single enemy, mp usage is 80%
4) Every 100 mp used for MSPG cause 1 damage on self (round down to nearest hundred)
5) Casting cost is only 400 mp (!?) for a gar spell
